About Dr. Mark I. Reichman

Dr. Mark Reichman moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1994, where he established a respected private practice in oral and maxillofacial surgery. In addition to his clinical work, he has played a significant role in education and professional leadership, serving for 18 years as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia and as past president of the British Columbia Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Reichman previously held the role of Division Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at BC Children’s Hospital, Vancouver General Hospital, and UBC Hospital. During his tenure at BC Children’s Hospital, he worked closely with the Cleft Lip and Palate team, performing surgeries to correct congenital facial deformities in children born with craniofacial conditions and syndromes.

At Vancouver General Hospital and UBC Hospital, Dr. Reichman maintains a practice focused on major surgical procedures, including the correction of dentofacial deformities, treatment of oral and facial pathology, reconstructive facial surgery, facial trauma repair, orthognathic surgery, genioplasty, and malar (cheek) implants. His particular area of interest lies with balancing both the optimum functional and aesthetic outcome of orthognathic surgery.

In office, he provides exceptional service for the removal of wisdom teeth, dental implant placement and oral pathology.

In his spare time, Dr. Reichman enjoys spending time with his daughters. He is a licensed pilot and often flies to the Sunshine Coast, where he has a cabin and enjoys boating and relaxing by the lake during the summer months, as well as traveling to warm destinations such as Hawaii and Mexico. In the winter, he enjoys skiing in Whistler.
